Things I thought I should be done with by the time I turned 19:

[x] Fallen in Love with Mr. Darcy again

[x] Done something inexplicably stupid

[x] Develop my own brand of humour and quirk

[x] Grossed 200 people out with a single sentence

[x] Had a "I was so close to Death" story

[x] Had a 'when I was your age' conversation with somebody two years younger to me

[x] Been obsessed with random pop culture

[x] Ripped apart boy band posters

[x] Randomly mutilate my eyebrows

[x] Fallen in Love

[x] Burnt somebody's hair

[x] Etch out a day-to-day existence on acerbic wit, satirical humour and higher intellect. (xkcd, cyanide & happiness, daisy owl and batman)

[x] Quoted internet humour

[x] Done/Watched something nerdy (Star Trek, Halo 3)

[x] Played on an Xbox 360 and PSP

[x] Looked simply stop-eating-food-gorgeous.

[x] Done something so girly that testosterone ran away screaming from my body

[ ] Being awarded the Nobel.

Sigh, I feel like such a failure. But, if they can give to Obama then I wonder.

#Lesson for today: There is always that one thing in life you can't achieve in time. Acceptance comes gradually.

This is fantastic!

"Had a 'when I was your age' conversation with somebody two years younger to me."

I've done that so many times, it's supremely pathetic.

Well I can second Number 3, that's for sure :)

And my dogs did all the poster-ripping for me, the little darlings.

@ Sherry: I know, it is. But nothing beats the fun of saying, "when I was your age, Pluto was a planet". It leaves them very confused.

@ Deboleena: If only all of us could do that. That is what they love doing most. Mine peed on Enrique's face.

Dude, what was the girly thing?! :O

Upper Lip. 'Nuff Said.

except for Darcy, the boy-band and the hair-burning bits, done everything :D. Oh, the Nobel as well.

The girly bit's coming soon...:(

Lemon Girl said...

You have to try the hair burning bit. It is somehow quite therapeutic. Or as my psychology professor once said - "this girl is going to love pyromania".

What girly bit? *Curious*

Sherry Wasandi said...

I've done the hair-burning bit.
And threw in some voo-doo just for kicks.

I'm evil that way. :D

So I'd been taking a friend's case who'd been complaining about how long it takes to wear a saree. I told her I could do it in ten minutes flat. And..well, she kinda called my bluff and now there's a..well..bet

Even Obama took longer than 19 years to win the Nobel! So thats okay. :D

I've done everything on this list, except for the Nobel (fingers crossed tho'), eyebrow-mutilation (its not mutilation if it looks pretty, right? :D), XBox 360 (my brother doesnt trust me enuff) and Mr. Darcy (too stiff upper lip for me, I'd have picked up Wickham in a heartbeat tho' Austen wudnt like me if she met me!)

And you shud totally watch the new Star Trek, Spock is hotttt!!

LOL!! :D I love xkcd btw, but I didnt know about cyanide & happiness..thanks for the heads up! :)

And as Mr. Billy Joel says,

"Slow down you crazy child, you're so ambitious for a juvenile,

you got so much to do
and only so many hours in a day, yeahhh!

But you know that when the truth is told,
That you can get what you want
Or you can just get old
You're gonna kick off before you even get halfway through
When will you realize...Vienna waits for you!"

Used to listen to that song on a loop last year!

@ Sherry: I do believe we are all part of a beautiful tribe separated at birth because 'they' were afraid what we might do to the world. Being evil, well.. It's the way to be. ;)

@ Rene: Aah wonderful. You should have known better. And a bit forward of me to ask, but are there photos? :D

@ TUIB: I did! I did! The new Star Trek was aweeeeesome. First day, first show, back row with dad. Best day in '09 so far. :)

No, sadly its not. But mutilation is fun, nonetheless. As for Wickham, he was the second love. Darcy just came earlier and by default became my ideal man.

You're welcome, you may just end up loving it.

And Billy Joel is simply wonderful. *Starry Eyed*
